Students of Any Level or Interest
What Is Kathak Dance?
Kathak is one of the nine major forms of Indian classical dance. Kathak dancers tell various stories through their hand movements and extensive footwork, their body movements and flexibility but most importantly through their facial expressions
What Is Bollywood Dance?
Bollywood dance is a culmination of classical dances such as Kathak, Bharatnatyam dance moves and folk dances e.g., Bhangra, Garba etc., and modern/hip hop dance moves.
Dramatic facial expressions and body movements means any viewer, dance aficionado or not, can follow the story.
Anjani Dance believes in Building Community
In addition to hosting our own Anjani Dance Ensembles recital each year, we are very active in the Greater Syracuse community.
We perform pro bono for museums, libraries, temples, and Syracuse University many times a year. We have also danced at the Salt City Dance Festival in Syracuse, the Dance Day performance at Destiny USA, WCNY TV Channel, ICRCC Spring Festival, and NY STATE FAIR.
We enjoy being extremely present in our vibrant cultural community and seizing all of the opportunities for our dancers to perform for their friends, family, and the greater community.
